About this In-person Event

"The Juggle is Real" is an upcoming in-person event on September 25, 2025, from 6-8 PM, featuring speakers Kristen Koehler and Isioma Hatzidimitriou, and moderated by Beth Guerriero. This discussion will delve into the unique challenges women in development face while balancing leadership and life.

The session will explore common pressures and expectations related to work-life balance, inviting attendees to share experiences when the "juggle" felt unsustainable and how they navigated those times. It aims to challenge prevailing myths and misconceptions about work-life balance in the development and non-profit sectors.

Attendees will learn about adaptive strategies, including daily or weekly practices for staying grounded amidst competing demands, and effective ways to set boundaries with colleagues, donors, and family without guilt. The role of delegation, both at work and at home, will be a key focus in making the juggle more realistic.

The event will also highlight the importance of building resilience and support networks. Discussions will cover how mentorship, peer networks, and community support can help manage the juggle, and practical advice will be offered for those feeling overwhelmed. A crucial part of the conversation will address how organizations can cultivate cultures that genuinely support balance for women leaders.

"The Juggle is Real" looks to the future, envisioning shifts in the non-profit and philanthropy worlds that better support women leaders. Speakers will share personal advice they would give their younger selves, and attendees will be encouraged to identify one strategy or mindset to make their own juggle more joyful and less draining. The goal is for everyone to leave with a practical takeaway to better manage their personal and professional lives.
